Student Enterpreneurs Vs. Student Preneurs .. Differences and Commonalities

STUDENT ENTERPRENEURSHIP VS. STUDENT-PRENEURSHIP!

Both student enterpreneurs and student preneurs practice enterpreneruship. But intentions are quite different ! That makes them different ..

1. Student Enterpreneurs are....Students practice entrepreneurship with intention to become entrepreneurs and build enterprises.. Cool.. Nothing wrong.. It is it ! .. Great .. Examples.. Dell, Bill Gates,

2. Student-Preneurs are....Students practice entrepreneurship with intention to excel in academic studies and emerge enterprising people ! .. This is different from student enterpreneurs !
One practices entrepreneurship to become ENTERPRENEUR and develop ENTERPRISE of ones own..The other to become BEST LEARNER .. Of course, the best student might end up with an enterprise and also become an entrepreneur..But these two things are incidental ..and by products !
Some of my students who are student preneurs are .. .. Nitin Bighane, Ravi Kumar, Shreyas Srinivas, Paresh Masade, Mandeep Manocha etc. We have this initiative only at NITIE ! This is practiced by MANDI Propesor !
3. Student-Preneurs are consciously promoted by academics as part of curricular learning. Student preneurship is means of learning , and a pedagogy .. It is nothing but Curricular Modification for better larning ..( Genetical Modification of seeds ! )

This we call it as entrepreneurial learning.. the important part of enterprising / startup is inducted / shooted in to / embedded as part of curricular leaning .
Students are consciously and in a planned manner supported, guided, mentored by the academic community of faculty for enterprising being the students ! It is the professors and colleges adopt this as pedagogy so that all students , all means all students 100 % of them practice enterprising ! Faculty make academic assignments like summer projects , weekend projects , course assignments, examinations , field visits out of the students' enterprise ! ..
Please note that this is not Entrepreneurship Education where those students who are interested only will be part of entrepreneurship practice !

4. This mode of learning ..
  • Co Creation of value by Students + Faculty

  • Effectuation principles

  • Value creation through waste elimination
4. Student-Preneurs start their startups with NO INVESTMENTS ! They start their enterprising as TINY / LAGHU... as possible..They will have no losses.. If they fail.. they will have great learning.. if they succeed they will again will have great learning ..
5. It is surprising to say that.. Investment for Student-Preneurship comes in the form of ....Academic Capital, Knowledge Capital, Social Capital, Youth Capital, Ignorance Capital Etc..
4. Student-Preneurship has ZERO RISKs.. It is by design ! There will be no losses ! There will be no downs ! There will be no failures ! Losses, downs, and failures if any are deemed as best learnings by the student-preneurship !
Aaj ka padai ka karcha, Aaj ka sikai se, Aaj hee kamana !
